In the context of operations to clean and dismantle basins at the effluent treatment plant at the CEA site in Marcoule, Artelia performed a feasibility study on the conditioning of activated sludge.
Artelia proposed a solution to incorporate this sludge in cement matrices that are compatible with surface storage facilities and adapted the processes at the existing facility, drawing on the knowledge gained through working with the CEA at the site over a number of years.
Artelia is perfectly aware of the environmental and safety issues inherent to managing nuclear facilities and waste, and has the skills to conduct this type of project in complete compliance with the technical constraints and regulatory requirements.
