In view of current forecasts of climate change and rises in sea levels, the protection of sensitive coastal zones has to be rethought. Thanks to its extensive knowledge of issues related to coastal erosion, Artelia designs and supervises the implementation of sustainable coastline management projects in various countries. 

Artelia also performs statutory studies (impact assessments, environmental studies, Natura 2000 site assessments) for coastal and estuarine projects, and draws up plans to prevent coastal risks (erosion, flooding).
