Context & Issues

The objective of this study is to draw up a master plan for the development of irrigated agriculture on a national scale and involving cross-disciplinary aspects, based on an exhaustive inventory of land that can be developed (plains and lowlands) in Guinea. The study aims to define a costed action plan designed to implement the main national objectives, strategic orientations and short-, medium- and long-term investment plans.

The studies of irrigated areas represent a total surface area of 4,000 ha and cover all the natural regions in the country.
