l\u2019Ouest, plusieurs op\u00e9rations ont \u00e9t\u00e9 initi\u00e9es avec le soutien de la Banque mondiale qui privil\u00e9gie la mobilisation d\u2019\u00e9nergies renouvelables et l\u2019interconnexion des r\u00e9seaux \u00e9lectriques entre \u00c9tats. Le projet d\u2019am\u00e9nagement de la vall\u00e9e de la rivi\u00e8re Saint-Paul, sur le territoire du Lib\u00e9ria, atteste des efforts entrepris pour r\u00e9habiliter les installations existantes renforcer son approvisionnement national en \u00e9lectricit\u00e9 et contribuer au r\u00e9seau interconnect\u00e9 CLSG (C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire-Lib\u00e9ria-Sierra Leone-Guin\u00e9e), le Lib\u00e9ria a choisi de privil\u00e9gier les \u00e9nergies renouvelables dans son plan de d\u00e9veloppement du bassin de la rivi\u00e8re Saint-Paul. Ce projet hybride comprend la cr\u00e9ation d\u2019un am\u00e9nagement hydro\u00e9lectrique de 150 MW, avec capacit\u00e9 de stockage, et l\u2019extension de la centrale de Mount Coffee afin de porter sa capacit\u00e9 totale \u00e0 122 MW (88 MW+44 MW). Il pr\u00e9voit aussi le d\u00e9veloppement de 90 MWc de potentiel solaire r\u00e9parti sur plusieurs sites.<\/p><p>Le WAPP (West African Power Pool) a confi\u00e9 \u00e0 Artelia les \u00e9tudes de faisabilit\u00e9 technico-\u00e9conomiques et les \u00e9tudes d\u2019impact environnemental et social des trois composantes de ce projet. Cette solution hybride permet de donner la priorit\u00e9 aux \u00e9nergies d\u00e9carbon\u00e9es, d\u2019optimiser le potentiel de chaque am\u00e9nagement et de r\u00e9pondre aux diff\u00e9rents enjeux \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques du gouvernement.
