As part of the decontamination and dismantling operations of the basins at the effluent treatment plant on the CEA Marcoule site, Artelia conducted a feasibility study for the conditioning of active sludges. Artelia proposed a solution to incorporate these sludges into cementitious matrices compatible with surface storage facilities. Thanks to a long-standing collaboration with CEA at this site, the processes of the existing unit were adapted. Aware of the environmental and safety challenges related to the management of facilities and waste, Artelia possesses the expertise to carry out projects of this kind, ensuring strict compliance with technical constraints and regulatory requirements.
