Project management for all trades and project management for the extension of INB 113 at GANIL

A large-scale project to produce and study rare radioactive nuclei

CONTEXT & ISSUES

For nearly 50 years, GANIL (Grand Accélérateur National d’IONS Lourds), a research infrastructure (IR*) of the CEA and CNRS, has been one of the world’s five largest laboratories dedicated to fundamental research in nuclear physics.

The DESIR (Disintegration, Excitation and Storage of Radioactive Ions) project will mark a new milestone: GANIL will be equipped with a facility dedicated to the experimental study of the radioactive nuclei produced in its facilities at extremely low energy.

Artelia is providing project management for all trades and project management for this extension of INB 113 with ATAUB Architectes, Ramery Bâtiment, Bouygues Construction Services nucléaires, Technitub, Actenium, and in collaboration with Bureau Veritas Group, Socotec, Cetis.

Our teams are combining their expertise in civil engineering, special fluids, HVAC and high/low voltage systems, as well as nuclear ventilation, to meet the highest safety and technical performance requirements.
