PROTECT OUR
ENVIRONMENT

INCORPORATE ECOLOGY INTO ALL OUR SERVICES

As part of our commitment to the green transition and reaching net zero, we are building our expertise from year to year in order to provide our clients with the best possible support in making their own transition and implementing sustainable development projects. Our aim is to systematically include ecodesign and worksite environmental monitoring approaches and solutions in the bids we produce.
We have developed specific methods to this end, and are gradually rolling them out across all the Group’s entities and business lines through a sustained training effort. These methods address the full range of environmental issues (climate and greenhouse gas emissions, ecosystems and biodiversity, sustainable use of resources, etc.).

REDUCE THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT OF OUR ACTIVITIES

For several years now, we have been committed to gradually reducing the environmental impact of our own in-house activities, both in terms of consumption of non-renewable resources and emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG) and atmospheric pollutants. We are working tirelessly to make improvements in this area.
We are continuing to adapt our travel policy by encouraging video conferencing whenever possible and giving preference to modes of transport with lower impacts (travelling by train rather than flying, electrifying our vehicle fleet, etc.). We are renewing our property portfolio and basing our leasing choices on environmental and sustainability criteria (energy and environmental quality, distance from public transport, bicycle facilities, etc.). We are also stepping up our efforts to sort and recycle waste and save energy in order to reduce the impact of our office activities.

STRENGTHEN OUR CLIMATE STRATEGY WITH THE SBTI

In 2020, in response to the climate crisis, we made a commitment to reduce and/or offset 50% of our greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. In the space of three years we have reduced our carbon footprint (in tCO2e per employee) by 26% compared with 2019, our baseline year.
In reinforcing our CSR policy we decided to step up these emission reduction targets in order to integrate the IPCC’s latest recommendations for combatting climate change. In keeping with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), to which we made a firm commitment in 2022, we have decided to reduce:
• our energy-related direct and indirect emissions (scopes 1 & 2) to meet the “1.5°C” pathway (in terms of absolute emissions and intensity per employee);
• our other indirect emissions (scope 3) to meet the “well below 2°C” pathway (in absolute terms).
These targets now exclude any use of carbon offsetting, which may be implemented as a complement to actions taken to reduce emissions.
